Gilles and Nathalie Gautier arrived in Winnipeg on March 2011 after being the owners of a french bakery from Avignon, in the south of France where they gained a decade of experience as business owners.
Already daughter of bakers, Nathalie got to grow seeing her parents run their few businesses and learnt from them. Mesmerized by the pastry profession, she decided to get her diploma at the INBP of Rouen as a pastry chef. On the contrary Gilles learnt to be a baker by the side of Nathalie's dad then decided to get his CAP de maitre boulanger (master in the french baking tradition) to complement his experience.
Being big traveling lovers, Gilles and Nathalie toured Canada to find the right place to settle their business in, as their dream always was.
A l'Epi de Blé - French Bakery was then born on August 16th 2011 at 1757 Main street in Winnipeg and been running ever since.
